John F. Cannizzaro, founding partner of Cannizzaro, Bridges, Jillisky & Streng, LLC is especially proud of their newest associate -- his son, John C. Cannizzaro. It has always been a dream of mine to practice law with my son, and I am thrilled and honored that he has chosen to join our practice remarked the senior John Cannizzaro.
Graduating Summa Cum Laude from Capital University Law School in May of 2009, John was ranked number one in his class and was honored to serve as Valedictorian of the 2009 Law School graduating class. In addition, John scored in the 98th percentile on his bar examination. Before attending law school, John graduated Magna Cum Laude from The Ohio State University with a Bachelors Degree in Computer and Information Sciences.
We are very excited to have John C. working with us. Obviously John is an extremely bright young man but he also has lots of energy, enthusiasm and personal charisma. He is a welcome addition to the firm and will be an outstanding resource for our clients. I look forward to working closely with John on a day-to-day basis observed partner Mike Streng.
As one of Ohios foremost bankruptcy attorneys, John Cannizzaro, has been tapped to make presentations at several seminars and professional organizations this year. Those that remain in 2009 include: August 6th Northwest Ohio Treasurers Association, September 9th Ohio State Bar Association, October 9th Credit Education Coalition Fall Bankruptcy Seminar John admits It is an honor to be asked to speak to such a wide variety of prestigious organizations. I always learn something each time I accept an invitation and in turn my goal is to impart some of the knowledge that I have acquired over my 29 years of practicing law. At CBJS, we are proud that John Cannizzaro represents the firm with such acumen.
CBJS partner, Michael Streng, an accomplished trial attorney, who concentrates his practice to areas of OVI, traffic and criminal defense, had the honor of co-leading an "OVI Mock Jury Trial CLE Seminar" held at the Great Wolf Lodge in Mason, Ohio on July 17, 2009. The seminar included a Mock Trial with real jurors, voir dire, opening statements, direct cross examination and closing arguments. Then, attendees were able to watch the jury deliberations via closed circuit video. This seminar was approved by the Ohio Supreme Court for 7 hours of Continuing Legal Education for those attorneys who attended the session.

On Friday, July 3, 2009, founding partner John Cannizzaro was a featured speaker at the Forty-Fourth Annual National Association of Chapter 13 Trustees (NACTT). The NACTT presents the best and highest caliber educational programs in the United States on Chapter13 Bankruptcy. It is an honor that Mr. Cannizzaro was chosen to participate. His session was on “Best Practices Mortgage Services Issues” which highlighted continuing conversations between all participants in the struggle to improve the handling of mortgages in Chapter 13 cases. In addition, he discussed the impact of provisions of new legislation.
