PRACTICE:
 
Michael concentrates on traffic and criminal law, civil litigation and domestic relations cases.
 
Michael is a partner at Cannizzaro, Fraser, Bridges, Jillisky & Streng, LLC and has engaged in extensive trial and appellate work representing hundreds of people in criminal cases, including felony and misdemeanor matters including, but not limited to homicides, sex offenses, sex offender registration matters, drug cultivation, drug trafficking, drug possession and drug paraphernalia offenses, assault, domestic violence, operating vehicles under the influence, driving under suspension, and speeding tickets; civil litigation ranging from personal injury to construction law; and family law matters from divorces and dissolutions dealing with custody situations as well as post decree matters. Michael typically practices in Union, Franklin, Champaign, Clark, Logan, Madison, and Delaware Counties.
 
EDUCATION:
 
Michael obtained his juris doctorate from Capital University in 2000 and was admitted to the Ohio State bar in the same year. He received his bachelor's degree in biology and education from Capital University in 1997.
 
AFFILIATIONS:
 
Michael is a member of the American Bar Association, the Ohio State Bar Association, and the Union County Bar Association. He is past Secretary and current Chair of the Pro Bono Committee for the Union County Bar Association. Michael is a member of the Association of Trial Lawyers of America, the National Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers (NACDL) and the Ohio Association for Criminal Defense Lawyers (OACDL).
 
In 2005 Michael became qualified in accordance with the National Highway Transportation and Safety Administration (NHTSA) and International Association of Chiefs of Police (IACP) in DWI detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. He has lectured at the Advanced OVI Seminars sponsored by the OACDL, and is a regular speaker for the Wellness Driver Intervention Program.  Michael has also lectured on the legal issues of DUI at the Mount Carmel Health/Wellness Driver Intervention Program (DIP).
