Advocate and aggressive trial lawyer. Michael defends the rights of clients who are facing criminal charges and traffic violations. In addition to his practice, Attorney Streng is a contributing author to Trial Techniques for Criminal Cases, published by Thomson Reuters/Aspatore, 2010. He also routinely speaks and teaches attorneys effective defense strategies for defending OVI and criminal cases. Attorney Streng has been recognized as a top lawyer in Columbus CEO Magazine (’15 & ‘16) and interviewed in Business First magazine. A few years ago, in 2009, Michael served as the defense lawyer for a CLE. During the CLE, closed circuit cameras recorded the events inside the jury room during an actual OVI case so that defense attorneys and prosecutors alike could study the jurors and how they process evidence in an OVI/DUI case. Michael has devoted his legal career to defending those accused of crimes by the government as well as teaching other lawyers how to do the same.
Michael completed his undergraduate studies at Capital University in 1997 with a double major in Biology and Secondary Education. He went on to obtain his J.D. in 2000 from the Capital University Law School. In addition to his formal undergraduate and doctorate education at Capital University, Michael has completed The Trial Lawyers College designed by Gerry Spence (’10). Michael has also completed the same training as law enforcement in DWI Detection and Standardized Field Sobriety Testing. Today, Attorney Streng devotes 100% of his practice to litigation.
